Trademark Renewal
Don't Let Your Brand Protection Lapse
A registered trademark in India is valid for 10 years from the date of original filing. Once expired, your trademark loses legal protection and can be adopted by competitors — or removed from the register entirely.
Renewal can be filed up to 6 months before the expiry date (timely renewal) or up to 6 months after expiry (late renewal with a 50% surcharge). Beyond this window, the trademark is cancelled and cannot be revived.
📅 We recommend initiating renewal 3–6 months before the expiry date to avoid last-minute complications and surcharges.
